This paper will present new technology and build methods for the rapid production of ceramic cores used in investment casting applications. Due to time and cost factors associated with traditional ceramic core manufacturing, casting buyers and foundries make design and build concessions during initial build discussions. Using 3D printing technologies to build ceramic cores allows for multiple design options to be considered. The 3DP core making options will be presented from a design & build perspective coupled with a time and cost comparison to traditional cored pattern production.
